Hi, I’m Brenda,
A femme-coach, teacher, fitness lover, and an unshakable optimist committed to helping you become the woman you most desire to be.
I am a born and raised LA girl, living the LA life: brunch with the girls, weekends at the beach, and coffee shop evenings creating a business that sets my soul on fire. I’m so proud to have built Her Society, a coaching brand that helps hundreds of women become the best wife, mother, and fempreneur they so deeply desire to be.
Through 1:1 private coaching, small group programs, and Her Society by Brenda Vanegas private Facebook group, I help women like you ignite their magic and create a life greater than their dreams.
One of the things I’m often asked is
“How are you always so optimistic?”
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been relentlessly grateful, faithful, and hopeful. My belief in “All things work together for my good” Romans 8:28, has pushed me to always look for the lesson; I’m oddly excited to discover how I can be better, what the next season will bring, who am I becoming? This has helped me to release the cynicism and sadness that can develop through life’s disappointments.
I am also highly intrigued by human interaction and human potential. I love to observe how people respond to fear, sadness and pain and I constantly seek to understand the psychology behind their response to it.
I like to know what makes people really happy, successful, and fulfilled?
I have watched immigrants create their American Dream, entrepreneurs overcome bankruptcies, young adults build empires without so much as a high school degree, and that fascinates me.
My passion for how people learn and what makes them tick, led me to receiving a Master’s Degree in Education and Psychology from Pepperdine University. I used this degree to teach high school English, going on 17 years now and it has filled my heart tremendously.
While I never would have labeled myself an entrepreneur growing up, I realize now, I always have been. I come from a long line of business starters:
Market owners, care salesmen, bakers, butchers, apothecaries, drivers, private practice doctors, and lawyers.
Heck, I started selling beaded necklaces at the age of 11, $1 each, and now, my daughter is doing the same–it’s just who we are.
I was called to life coaching in 2019. Inspired by my 2014 fitness journey, I decided to solely focus on health and fitness. By the end of 2020, early 2021, I felt the calling to broaden my coaching, and coach the WHOLE woman-primarily in relationships. Relationships with self, with their man, their kids and their business.
Post divorce I had an itch to understand realtionships, to know what my role had been in the process, if anything– since in my mind, I was “perfect”, a great wife, a great mom the ideal woman. OOOF, was I in for a rude awakening. I learned about femininity vs. feminism. I learned about wifehood, being a helper, a nurturer, a source of peace, support & patience– all things I lacked. I was so focused on being a powerhouse, a boss babe, & a go-getter, I had lost sight of my number one role: wife. What I learned impacted me so much, I knew I had to rebrand, help women, teach women, equip women, heal and save relatioships with feminine energetics.
I will admit, initially I was scared to promote feminine leadership coaching since I had gone through a divorce 2 years prior. “Nasty Voice” within told me I wasn’t worthy to lead women through healthy relationships because I was “flawed”. I pushed through the thoughts and knew I had been called to this mission for that very reason, I was prepped and ready to make an impact.
I did just that, I expanded, I was nervous, I was intimidated, my entire IG following (all 402 followers) were accustomed to my health and fitness page, but I needed to be true to my calling. In the Spring of 2021, I put my vision out there with a whole new brand: Her Society by Brenda Vanegas and wow oh wow, the response was astounding.
I piloted my first feminine energy program, “She Roars” 5 weeks, $888 early bird, $1444 regular price. I hosted it in a private Facebook group, weekly group calls, and weekly 1hr. 1:1 calls. 4 ladies joined, and I made my first $5K+, in my rebranded coaching biz! I ran it twice that year.
I was hooked, women eager and excited to strengthen their emotional core, to build their courage in business, to improve their demeanor and attitude in their relationships, it lit me up so much! And what’s more, I was growing in those areas as well; and as I continued to grow so did my clients.
I have since created over 7 group programs.
I have led corproate group trainings for women and signed dozens of ambitious, influential entreprenuers into 1:1 private coaching. Thus far, I have superseded my 8-3 day job salary and growing.
As a mother, fempreneur, hopeful romantic, full-time teacher, avid gym goer, social butterfly, life coach and beyond, I’m undeniable proof that a woman really can have it all.
I believe you must bring your whole being to the table in order to create a life of purpose and excitement.
That includes your unique, God-given gifts, your personality, your sense of humor and most importantly, your heart. I believe that whether you run your own business or not, a creative and femmeprenuerial approach is required to fully flourish in today’s world and to experience the happiness and fulfillment you deserve.
No matter how big your dreams or how big the obstacles, you have the power to change your life and, in doing so, you will transform the world.
